Moving on, looking for C5
Looking to move on from my LT1, had it since new in 97 and had a lot of fun with it in all these years. Really want to pick up a nice, stock, low mile C5Z after my car is sold. I've always wanted a vette since I was a kid, and have always loved the stylings of the C5Z's, now that they are selling for reasonably low prices Ive decided to switch. Just curious what you guys think of my asking price with and without some of the mods. I think it is priced pretty fairly to start with for a very clean, low mile and "relatively" lightly modded LT1 car. Any comments welcome.

Good luck. I've often wondered where I'm headed with my pile. Drivetrain is on the floor where it has been for the last several weeks. All that needs to be done is to bolt it up...
I was just telling RamAir that not long from now I'm sure I'll be the bitter old coot w/ the Corvette cap and old guy clothes to match.

Whytry, thanks for the compliment, really dont think I''ll go that far. If it was a real high mileage car and I had a ton of $$$ in the motor I would consider it, being that its pretty low mile and lightly modded I'd rather sell it as a complete car.

Damn dude, wish I could of had one vette by age 35. My kids came first though for a numer of years, my son came along when I was 32, then my daughter at 35, with a new house and all of their expenses somehow I never was able to fit a C5 or C6 into that picture too, imagine that, lol...

I had my first Vette at 18 and have owned 12 since then. I just upgraded my 98 vert for a Ron Fellows edition Z06 and to say the least im very happy with it. Now to make it faster than my Z28 and I will be set. At 29 I can not complain about much. If you switch to a C5z you will love it my old 04 Z was very impressive and was a dream to drive compaired to the C4 cars I had.Post some pictures when you do get one I love vettes.

I know, I wasnt going to put it up for sale until the winter but I want to get the process moving so I can hopefully be into a C5Z by the spring. I dont imagine my car is going to sell all that quickly the way the economy seems to be going, but who knows. I still plan to get mine dyno'd next month to confirm the #'s I think its making and will more than likely take another shot at an 11 before the years out Like I said, I really dont want to let it go, and would love to keep two (or more) fun cars like a lot of people here seem to be able to. It just wouldnt work for me $$ wise and space wise. We have a 2 car garage and I only get to occupy one side full time lol, my wife parks on the other side a lot. I just cant imagine parking my Z out in the elements and neglecting it after its spent the last 12 years garaged.

Good Luck with the switch Greg. Your posts and the way you've built your car (along with a few other members I respect) have been a role model of sorts for me. I respect you guys who have been pushing the LT1 envelope for years. I came kind of late to the party but I am having a great time with this F-Body.
I hope you find the perfect Vette, they're great cars.

Wow, thanks man, that means a lot to me. I've always tried to be very open with what I've done to my car, I list pretty much everything I've done with my car on my site, I'm not the kind of person that keeps my plans top secret or anything. The more people that see what worked for me and want to do the same mods the better. I've been wanting to p/u an lsx car for a while and always loved vettes too, I'm sure my next car will satisfy all of those needs. Not really sure how hard it's going to be to sell it in this economy though, either way I'll still be around for a while.
