Default Is the LT1 F-body fuel tank filler neck welded on?

My mechanic wants to order the the LT1 F-body fuel tank but is the fuel tank filler neck welded on or permanently attatched or not? Apparently there are 2 different types of tanks. I'm trying to look but I can't get the fenderwell panel off at the moment. thanx

you have the 93-98 tank that is metal and the filler is welded to the tank. Then you have the 99-02 tank that is plastic and has a seperate filler neck

Thanx. Just figured this out now. Took me a while to get that plastic piece off to take a look. I have the service manual but just wanted to be sure since it was already ordered.
