Hood Choices---Torn between 3 I am finally doing some exterior mods to my car since she is finally up and running great. I had wanted to keep the car as stock looking as possible for the sleeper element but once the car is started that goes right out the window now. I had a chance to look at some very nice hoods at the shootout but im still not sure what one is for me and my car. I have a very nice Carbon fiber ss wing(98+ style) and a berger clone rear valnce. I already have plans to swap the berger flat black panel for a Chase carbon fiber one. the only other thing i want to add to the car is the Hood.
I love the VFN 3 SS hood, its wild i have only seen 1 in person and its just badass
The Sunoco wide hood is sick and after seeing Tony's car at the shootout i was like **** i love that hood as well. very smooth looking and gives the front a sick look.
Then there is a 98+ style SS carbon fiber hood, it matches the back of the car, its very well made but i think it might fade over time and then need painted witch will defeat the purpose of going carbon. But my car is white and i think it might not look so good on a white car, and 1100plus for something you can not return.
Here is a picture of my car that im going to be adding the hood onto.

Sunoco hood for sure...if you want ram air, nothing looks better than the stock 96-97 SS hood, the LS style ram air hoods look out of place IMO on a LT1 car. Carbon fiber hoods are for ricer civics with fart can mufflers....not to mention they look like *** after a few years exposed to the elements...and cost more to begin with.

It hard for me to decided between the 3"SS or the CF SS. Sunoco I dont like on a white car with all the other black. The Carbon would be good if real Carbon and cleared a couple times, should be just upkeep if real. I think white cars with black wheels, berger, dark tint, and smoke corners look sick, a great carbon hood would be next step. but you should lose the CF Wing and get Stock SS tail if you do the CF Hood it would be too ricer all that CF. But if you keep tail do 3"SS.

I don't like the harwood ram air hood at all. As for arbon fiber being Ricer what about the new zr1 and z06 cars have carbon all over. Plus carbon gives the car an updated look. Very light weight and strong as well.

I was thinking the 3SS hood with the scoop black with white ghost flames. My buddy says sunoco,very hard to decide.
