I don't know (I'm not too sure I want to either), but I do think the nose modification he did could be replicated rather inexpensively (providing either you or a friend can do the fabrication). I think you could do a version of that (a little heavier though) with thin walled small diameter mild steel tubing to make it easier to fabricate and cheaper.

So ur not street racing or going to the track till you have a rear?
Lol so you just like driving around in a tin can for fun? You could have did that when you were "track ready" .
You could cut weight like a fighter before you do whatever it is you want to do with this car. Thats a good 40lbs after the sauna. Ill have some gatoraid wating for you in the Pits

Nah, just kidding. Just a mid-project picture. But yea, that black plastic firewall padding is pretty heavy. Pass. airbag and all the HVAC is also more weight than you think (not sure if you already pulled that stuff).
I personally hate the gutted look, at least some lightweight carpet looks better than bare floors. But good luck to you.

^^^^^ great point but I broke my entire dash so I just started the tearing ...I'm just saying I don't wanna hit the track and end up buying a new 10bolt when I could have saved it for a 9' ... I haven't changed my rear gear for that same reason I don't want to spend money twice.. I can honestly say I can't afford all the stuff you guys can I am in college, I have a house and a kid now so it's not that easy California is expensive ...

Spartan your car looks naked... its sexy...
I plan on sanding it down and painting it.. my car looks ugly as **** with a chameleon interior and lime green exterior. I want to paint the inside Matt black... a light weight carpet is a great idea without the padding though...

You can find good used ten bolts dirt cheap!! Go find one first then go tear some **** up.If it breaks then toss the extra one in. Im not changing my ten bolt till it breaks (I know it will) but dosnt wanna die!!! Have you changed the steering wheel?

Yes sir!! Not sure how long it will last this winter. We shal see... I was cutting 1.7 60' last winter when it was just boltons and full weight. I wish i took out the weight i did when i still had my stock motor in to see the results. I just got kinda bored to fast. Not all ten bolts die easy. Some do.

Get some Ozite carpet. Its very light and looks 100% better than bare metal. the rear interior panels come out easy when needed so i put them back in to make it look normal. Door panels can go in or be taken out quick too. Ill only take that stuff out if i ran a 11.0.

Here's something to think about. By reducing the weight of the car, you are effectively reducing the stress on the 10bolt. I wouldn't be so quick to go hunting for a new rearend, I've beat my 10 bolt to death and its fine "A4". Plus a 9" ford is going to toss alot of weight back in your car.
