what is the thing under the battery attached on the bottom of the passenger side frame horn?

Your coolant over flow container I think is what your talking about.

no. its bolted on the bottom of the frame rail. has some kind of line running out of it. Not near the car right now otherwise id have a picture.

yep thats it. the case on the outside i pretty well mangled on mine. Not sure how bad the damage to the rest is but im sure its bad. Had a chain wrapped around it when i pulled my motor. woops. can this cause any real problems other than my hvac system not working?

You can prob find a new one at a junkyard if you messed it up..or go oldschool and make it out of a soup can..
