Default Lt1 tuning question, timing retard

I data logged a few runs the other night and noticed my car is pulling 3degrees timing the entire run which is the max the tune will allow to have pulled out (in the max knock retard (inpe) table) should i set that table 0 allowed? why is the car pulling timing?

The stock tune allows 8 or so, don't remember.

If you set that table to 0 and bad detonation grenades your motor from not tuning out the timing that would be a costly decision.

The tune is pulling timing from perceived detonation. Pull a few degrees in the appropriate cells.

yeah stock was 8 or so, now its set to 3 and the entire run wide open it pulls a steady 3 degrees out

how can i print the timing table? i cant figure out how to copy and paste it?

Chas010 i see your using a tunercats programer how do you like it? does it scan for dignostic codes well?
do you have the LT1 pro kit or the base kit. would you be so kind to tell me the pros and cons?

It can pull timing for a number of reasons. Usually it is what it perceives as "knock". If you are running 93 octane and your timing is within spec, it probably isn't detonating.

95 z I'm way to new to even comment, I'm not even sure what version I have. It definitely doesn't scan codes the data logger program does that.
Joelster I'm not thinking the knock is detonation, the plug tips look good and clean with no speckles but wanted to rule it out before disarming the knock retard circuit.
