Cheap headers?

So what are our options now? eBay - speeddaddy, ap1ap2, etc - no longer have the $255 stainless headers/ypipe.

Are there any other similar options for us? ...for ground clearance, id consider shorties/mids but they seem more expensive than longtubes...

Pacesetter LT's. I love mine and are cheap new and can be found for cheaper used. I found mine for 150 shipped on here...

yeah if the ebay specials are gone then pacesetters would be best. but if you want te absolute best ground clearance then mac mids are the way to go

Never had a ground clearance problem with my AP1AP2 crap and I like to hop curbs + daily drive.

ebay headers and pacesetter Y.. can get them to your door for less than $350 all day long...lots of guys on here use them... theyre design is refined now. A guy I know recently installed one of them and said it was easy as hell...

^^^^ those are for ls1, i think op needs for lt1. I dont think they have the ebay ones for lt1s anymore.

I'm glad you got some use out of it! I always leave my daily at stock height, mainly because I hate scraping and bottoming out.

OP, you can still get the OBX headers off of fleabay and have a custom y or TD made or go for the pacesetters + y to bolt up to a catback with the least effort.

I wouldn't do shorties again. I made that mistake on my 88 Camaro and they had the worst possible spark plug and starter motor clearance combined with minimal gains. I had to put so many starter motors in that thing, because of the shorties, that I was considering retrofitting a hand crank. No such issues with the elcheapo long tubes.

You mean me? They're supposed to be copies of the SLP headers for the '96-'97 LT1 cars, and they hook up to the OE Y-pipe.

I recently got a new laptop, with new programming, and I've had issues with trying to take pictures and get them to transfer to an e-mail. However if you want me to try, shoot me a "PM" with an e-mail address, and I'll give it a shot....
