Default Help Please

Can someone please tell me what the thing in the picture is?

The metal thing on the side says Bosch I tried looking up the numbers it has on but with no luck. The number are 0 205 *3 007. The asterisk might be a zero but it it really hard to tell, could be any number.

Oh btw the car is a 1996 camaro z28 if that helps at all.

That's where the traction control is.normally mounted and then covered. Im betting the cover broke off. Take it loose there should be more numbers than that

Traction Control would make sense. I'm retarded I do have the black case that goes over it lol , i just never guessed it would be the traction control. I was just worried because in the Chilton book it did not say anything about the traction control.

It's the TCS motor. (traction control) It was only an option for 97 and maybe late 96 cars. Not sure about 96 cars or not but I have on one my 97.

Well my next question would be how to remove it because I'm trying to do a head gasket job and it is in the way lol.

Look for bolts holding it down, remove. I mean you no disrespect but if you can't figure out how to remove the TCS motor then the rest of your head gasket swap project is going to be pretty difficult.

as said before....traction control.

just disconnect the cable from the throttle body, and unbolt the TCS module.... then just move it off to the side/somewhere out of your way.

I have a 95 that has traction control. So not only 96-97 had them.

Well I labled it wrong it's the ASR motor or Acceleration Slip Regulation.

My 93 'vette has the ASR motor on it so, it was definitely around before '96.

Traction control was available as on option on f-body cars starting in 1995.
