Had tune time performance send out my valve covers to be powdercoated. They look awesome in this textured black.

I'm really interested to see what gains you get after retuning with the LS1 PCM. I picked up less then 10, but low/mid range was noticeably better, no more surge around town, and that's coming from a basically stock CI motor...

There are plugins you can get for Chrome and Firefox. I still see the pics.

I think its not so much gain in power, but better in every way. The LS1 pcm is easier to tune. 8000 rpm capable, coil per plug vs only one weak coil with the optispark.
I ran one of the first EFI connection 24x conversion back in the day with my old LT1 combo, I loved it. As you can see in my sig, I never went back to the LT1/optispark. Check out my build below in my sig.

Yup I agree 100%, I did the EFI 24x swap in my car as well a few years back, and then I kept the LT1. lol. I just think the street manners are what stick out the most to me.

Tomorrow the car should be going on the dyno. The swap is done.

Sweet car. Interested to see if it gains power. My guess with how it was running before on cold start and coming to a stop, there is definite driveability and some overall power to be gained from the current tune.
I would throw a fresh set of plugs in with the new setup when they start tuning.

yes the car got a set of brand new plugs. I also ordered this tb plate from tq head. I have been tossing the idea of swapping out my hooker long tube headers and y-pipe for a set of stainless (jet-hot coated) long tube headers and y-pipe. I noticed kooks does not have the slip joint that the hooker headers have. who is running kooks longtubes and what are your thoughts...I would simply do the swap for getting rid of that slip joint and they are stainless so no power gains.

Did you notice a difference in driveability or in the power curves on the dyno after switching to the TorqHead setup?
