Default timing chain 24x conversion

i just purchased the 24x conversion and am ready to install and was wondering i could replace my timing chain with a standard sbc chain seeing im not driving an opti and the car has an electric waterpump?

If you are using efi's timing cover, which is clearanced for a double roller, Cloyes #3145 is a popular timing set for this application.

Yes. As long as the timing set is 1987-up SBC with hydraulic roller camshaft. Single row timing set will clear GM timing cover. Double row timing set will not clear GM timing cover.
