Default Motor removal

I'm taking my motor out was wondering if it was easier to leave the tranny in or drop the tranny out and I'm taking it out the top

If you can't take it out through the bottom by dropping the K, then take the trans off. I actually have pulled the motor through the top, but i removed damn near everything. it was just the short block. lol

Well I have the intake water pump radiator balancer and headers out and motor mounte bolts out I would like to take it out through the top that's about the only way I could do it

I stripped mine down to just the short block to pull it out the top

Just take it out the bottom. Way easier.

I took my engine out through the top without the tranny.

Lets put it this way, if you have an A4 its real easy to leave it in with the help of a 4 wheel trans jack that straps it's self to the trans. unbolt the converter and tie a bungy on it to hold it on the trans. M6???? well a bit tuffer to take the engine out the top with out removing it.
