We fixed them and sold them, some of them with some profit. Once we needed a rear clip and the guy sent us a picture of this car and wanted to sell us the rear half of it. I called him right of way and asked him to please not cut this car up and send it to me in one piece. This was in 2004 when Palmi was only 12 years of age. I put it in the backyard where it sat rotting until 2008 when he took it over and started to work on it. He got the driving licence in 2009 and started driving it that summer. The year after he put in a Procharger that we had. That was too much for the old motor, so the rest of summer he was just idling on it. In the winter he bought the 396 and the heads and everything to put the new motor together. We also had a 4L60E from RPM-Transmissions and he bought a Coan converter. This is how he has been driving it this summer. Now he has parked it and today he is taking the rear out to put in a new Moser 9-inch and the new fuel system from Lonnies-Performance. This winter he(we) will also rig up the Procharger. We hope that everything will be ready for racing next summer.
He pays himself for everthing bought for this project. He is attending school and working at a Body-shop to finance all this. Like he said on an Icelandic message-board: When my friends spend their time and money on boose and nonsence he spends his on his car.
So I think I can brag some

Regards
Saevar
That's great to hear. Good for him!

Yes, outstanding.

Love how much effort you put in to the little things, things that people overlook or just simply do not care about.

Time for an update, Long time since i posted here. but here are few pictures

Got new parts

Painted the tubes and fitted the BIG RED RACE VALVE

Then the Car was ready for tune, My friend here in Iceland tuned it for me. Took the car to dragway on safe AFR and timing @5 psi

Best Mph is 123.5, I need my 60ft lower, with better grip i can at least get it down to 1.6
I was launching the car at 4000-4200rpm with the Transbrake

There was a car show last weekend

Next thing to do is install my new Brake setup

I have C5 brakes with Z06 pads and they work astoundingly well on 11" of vacuum. I'm using the stock booster and MC as well.

The attention to detail is crazy. Wonder how many hundreds of man hours he has into it...

This best make it into a magazine when its finished. If it hasn't already been

I'am going to install manual MS , then vacuum will not be my problem

Thank you guys for the compliments. One thing i regret is that i didn't write the hours down that i have put in to it.
One question
Is it necessary to run crank case vacuum pump for 10lbs of boost, Is catch can and breathers enough. I know vacuum pump is the best for the engine, But for LT1 it is hard to come by. I know the vacuum pump bracket that Ralls is using , but it is more complicated to use with my procharger.
Can i use electic vacuum pump like this here ?

Thanks
