Default 93-97 e-brake weights, are they necessary?

I just installed some bolt on L.C.A. relocation brackets. I had to remove the little weights from the rear calibers in order to do so. Will my emergency brakes still function without them?

Those weights are not part of the emergency brakes. The calipers can vibrate under certain conditions and the weights are dampers to reduce the vibration.

Wow! I know alot about our cars but I never knew this... So since they are not part of the e-brake system. Is it safe for me to leave them off the car?
