back firing

so i just replaced my opti, plugs, and wires and now my car is back firing. it seems to idle ok but misses every once in awhile. back fires whenever you give it throttle.

plugs are gapped at .040

no ses light but i have an lt4 knock module

I believe the plugs are supposed to be gaped at .050 which could cause your problem.

An .040" gap won't cause your problems. Since you just did plugs/wires, I'd start looking for any loose connections right off the bat.

Ramair nailed it. I would think a wire or plug is loose. Or even crossed

well it turns out i crossed plugs 5 and 7... doh! and correct me if im wrong but if you have higher compression dont you want less of a gap? my heads have 55cc chambers...
