lt1-427
If you are planning on building a 400+ CI LT, then you better have some deep pockets to afford a valvetrain and badass heads to let it breathe.
Anyone know whatever came of it?

What is the deckheight on the bowtie? It must be taller than stock. Well I would hope it would be anyway.
I was nagging Dart for a while to build it since they teased us with their idea of producing their own LT1 bigblock.

1" compression height.
The bottom of the block is not clearanced any more than a typical 383. The way the shop accomplished this is with a particular I-beam rod. A Scat pro-comp. It offers way more room than a big H-beam. I honestly don't know if a 4.1" stroke crank would fit. I'm 100% positive that it would not hit the block. My block has more than .1" of room as the crank swings, BUT I think there would be issues with the rods smacking the camshaft. I run a .900" base circle, and it's pretty close. If the clearance between the rods and camshaft are tight bad things will happen if you start to get a little flex in the cam. I don't know of anyone that has put a 4.1" stroke crank into an LT1 or an SBC with standard cam location. If someone has heard of one please post the link.
