That is a pretty good price for those heads. Heads-Up is one of the best shops in the country for Class heads. I am pretty sure that the block is a regular Bowtie block not the LTX version. For Super Stock it would be 4.067" (4.070" is max.). Doesn't Ed Wright runs one in his car too?
For anyone looking at that add, the Allisons always have top notch stuff. You are looking at a combination that would most likely run mid nines in SS/IA.

I've talked to Dave at Heads Up a few times. That's where I'll get my heads done when the time comes since they're 20 minutes up the road ! Like Gizmo said, he's a very busy popular guy.

Re-read post #24 guys. It most likely isn't an LTX Raceshop block. Probably the same setup that Ed Wright runs. He runs a regular sbc block with LTx heads on it. That is allowed in Super Stock.

Sounds like my stuff. Except mine is .070" over this time. Those are great heads for the rules we have to use. Not like real ported heads.
Do you know his name? I may know him.
You do know you have to modify LTX heads to use on that block , right? It's not reverse cooled. Heads Up! Cylinder heads does that to SS LT1 heads.
Btw, we are now allowed .080" over. It will go 4.125" with no problems.

I've never seen one so this is speculation, but I would think it would go to 4.185" with no problems. (400 sbc bore plus .060" over) I wonder what affect the siamese bore would have on cooling as far as the LT1's ability to run higher compression than typical sbc's due to their superior reverse flow system?
