Best or cheapest? Probably not the same thing. I have an AS&M and it worked great right out of the box, no drilling idle passages or playing with TPS, just bolt it on and go.

Id like to know the best AND cheapest, i know there not the same thing but somthing right in the middle would be awsome.
Ive heard nothing but good about the bbks and AS&M's but 500 is a bit steep for my taste.. any pros/cons of going with the stocker of an aftermarket brand?

and hey GUYS sorry for the poor grammar, i learn more on this site than i have in all my years in school

Unless you're pushing 450 a ported throttle body is a waste of time and money.

I bought a 52mm ported stock throttle body off a guy on fleabay. Was a good price, I think $125.00, and works well. I have had it on my car for over a year now. Unless you are going to 54 or 58mm, I think this was a good way to go.

Summit 52mm. Was it worth the money? Sorta at the time I was going 700r4 so having the reversible linkage was worth it.

engine build is in progress,
.020 over
forged flat top pistons
comp 292/300 cam
1.6 full rollers
LTs
true duals
heads milled .015 with fresh valvejob may go le1 heads soon
tune
possibly spraying a bit in the future.

I saw a ported stocker for 125 shipped on ebay with a $40 core refund if you send in your old unit so $85 isnt too bad
also summit is the profesional products throttle body
i definatly think i should stick to 52mm, or would the stock tb be fine for my build?

I have a PP 58mm and when i tried out a Holley 52mm there was a huge difference. Throttle responce was night and day and i actually lost 5-10rwhp between pulls trying it out.

Did you keep the same low end power with a 58mm?
also did you inherit any problems with the new tb?
ive heard lots of issues arise when you change them out

Are these tb's are different for the 93's? They say they wont fit for the corvette, is that because the 93 T/A and others used the corvette motor?

93 is different because of tranny kickdown linkage where later years had electronic trannies.

The throttle response thing is because the bigger blades act as if the throttle is further open on the smaller TB.

No lowned loss because at the TB on these you do not need airspeed for fuel atomization or suspension.
