Default Cam selection?

Im just wondering what would be a good cam to use without having to tune it and changing the valvetrain?

None.

All cams require some degree of tuning in order to achieve satisfactory performance and ALL cams require new valvetrain (at the very minimum valve springs).

The stock cam can benefit from valvesprings and tuning so my suggestion would be to keep it and do the springs and tuning.

You can run an aftermarket cam without tuning. (some, NOT ALL)

You can't run an aftermarket cam without new valvesprings.

Running a cam without tuning will sacrifice some power, but some (NOT ALL) can run perfectly fine on a stock tune.

For real? Wtf ? Why the hell would you waste your time on a cam swap that nets no gains...???? Let me guess... You want that "lope" sound? Right? How gay will it be when you are all cocky like "yea, its gotta Cam" and then have your *** waxed buy a tuned Honda... Let us know how that works for ya.

Save your money up and do it right the first time when you can afford it.

I was really trying to figure out if there was a cheaper way out of it without still getting beat by a riced honda. Lol. Thanka for the straight forward answers.

Even the stock motor runs alot stronger with a tune. If ur broke watch the for sale section for someone changing their cam only setup and buy all the needed parts and there is a good chance you could snag their tune also.

Yup, what 96 says, you'd be surprised what tuning does even on a stock motor, I had a customer with a "Bone Stock" LT, granted he had suspension and a mild stall and a street tune, He went 13.00 flat and this was the first time he ever went to the track,
