I would think they would be smart enough to call it a SS and list the build number if it truly was. Build sheet looks authentic, however if it is true it has next to no SLP options.
All of that could be purchased through SLP's website at one time.

Yea I got everything that car has except the funtional cowl intake. All on a 94 z28, they didn't have SS Camaros yet. All the badging, hood, and spoiler was able to be bought. The hood cost a shitload though.

If I understood correctly, these cars were made into SSs or WS6s post production (from the plant as a Z28 or T/A to SLP in Quebec, then back for inspection) so the VIN will only say Z28 or T/A regardless of whether it's a real SS/WS6 or not. I believe the WU8 or Y2Y on the door-jam sticker (depending on year) is the only way to tell without cross checking the VIN directly with GM or SLP (ask how much the hood or spoiler for that VIN would cost to replace, if it's incredibly expensive it's real, if not it's a clone). Then, of course, there's always the build sheet/sticker that states that VIN is authentic if it's included with the car. Can anyone clarify/verify?

GM shipped Z28's to SLP to be turned into SS's. I can see this car going for $20,000-$25,000. Someone who lives in IN should go check it out in person and ask them what's up with the price.

Even if it is a genuine SS, you believe, with what little options are on the build sheet and 24K miles on the clock, it will go for just a few thousand less than what it listed for brand new? Not. Even. Close.

When I bought my Camaro a few years ago I saw a very clean 1997 Camaro Z28, T-tops, auto, etc. 14,000 miles. They were asking $12,000 flat for it.
A 1996 Camaro SS, maybe the first one that rolled off the lot...since 1996 was the first year they reintroduced the SS, with 0 or very low miles on it might go for $25,000 to the right buyer. But not this one, clean as it is.
