i changed my opti to a brand new one from chandler motorsports cuz the one it had had gone out the car would hold back on power and it would backfire..i just changed it about a week ago..the problem stopped but as i was driving it today it started doing it again..i dont know if its the optispark but its doing the same thing as before..any idea what it could be?its a 93 lt1

No engine light on..it does it at like 2 and 3 gear at 3000 rpms and up when I changed the opti it stopped that was a week ago and today it did it again

Opti harness ... Did u check it or replace it? Did u locktite the rotor screw? Are you sure your water pump isn't pissing on it?

I have a 93 LT1 and had to change the opti spark 3x from water pump leaking. The engine temp gauge would go up to the red line and pretty much stay there at low speeds/RPMs. I put in a Hypertech chip that turns the fans on at a lower temp and a 160 degree thermostat and havent had a problem since.
