I've got a be-cool and 160tstat so the temps stayed where they usually do. one thing I'd highly suggest tho is a dif cooler cause sustained speeds like that creates allot of heat which can kill them quick. I know my rear developed a whine after that run. looking back I probably wouldn't do it again, I only did it b/c it was from 1am-4:30am(sure did save some time) but mainly I did it b/c I had to stay a few extra days so my license had been suspended by the time I got to leave.
Well the stock engines must be balanced better that I figured, good to know, Stock, those motors can basically run the autobahn. The only thing with my Z is at app 137mph the windows would pop out from the top seal, don't know if others with a camaro had the same problem..

stock suspension at 170+ is not stable. With my suspension now its better but the aero on these cars sucks.

None of those things protect you from hitting an animal, pothole, pedestrian, hitch-hiker, on-coming car, or a telephone pole at 120mph.

I hope your running blank rotors and not goon fast and furious stuff.
Dont expect your abs to automatically save your *** in a pinch to slow down...expect to mediate the slow down yourself with a few pedal pushes.

New tranny fluid would be nice.

Don't switch lanes too quickly or even think of jerking the wheel....if you suspect a good curve bring it down immediately....if u find yourself in a curve don't bother to punk out and slam the brakes cuz u'll end up **** up regardless....pray and stay in control and **** urself if u have to but don't panic and ride it out.

If you start to pickup a nasty vibe it could be the driveshaft....no u shouldn't just ignore it....it could also be something worst.

Don't think the german product isn't much much better than yours at high speeds....KNOW IT IS.

The other cars won't see you coming at all. You might as well be a motorcycle to them.

Your asking for all that you could get. You can thrill ride just fine 110 even 120.....your pushing the street/road compound over that.

cars that do the Silverstate in that MPH class are modified in gearing, cooling, brakes, roll cage and run a closed course.

Just doing those speeds in a F-body on public roads is not a smart idea. Your car can't stop nor would your reaction time mean anything if you needed to take actions to avoid hitting something. Yes there will be stretches where you can hit those speeds in short bursts and get away with it but chances are highthe car will puke or you getting busted (yeah it will be way more than a ticket) or crashing (at that speed you and whoever you hit will most likely die quickly)

If you are intent on doing this get a bigger radiator, beef up brakes, tranny & diff cooler and at least Z rated tires. Get screw clamp radiator hoses as the OEM ones will likely blow off at those sustained RPM's with stock WP. A EWP not so much.

Ok, yes its a dumb idea, but people have done it before. Out there in death valley, traffic won't be a problem. Animals, maybe. Don't blow through any of those towns that fast of course. And I'm putting my flamesuit on but this is my tip for the law enforcement issues. Get on Google and RESEARCH the hell out of your route. Know ALL side routes. Know those roads like its your own neighborhood. Keep a gps or map up and know where u are at all times. Know your next intersection or side road. When you see fuzz, note where he is, how fast he's moving, which direction he is going, etc. If he is parked and your doing 100+, no chance in hell he can catch up to you. But the radio can. This is why you know an alternate route. Don't ******* stop. You will go to jail for that kind of speed. If he is going the opposing direction, the same applies. If he is ahead of you going the same direction, slow the **** down. You can't win. This is a very stupid idea, but what's the point of life if you don't pursue your dreams no matter how stupid. Have fun, but realize there are risks and consequences for your actions.120 cruising speed is no problem. I've done it for 4 hours before on I55. But 140 is pushing her too hard. Remember coyotes will send you airborne at those speeds. Have fun. You only live once.

I love how some of you guys are being mature about this lol and im aure your ilder then me. My best friend has driven the autobahn numerous times with a different bmw when he lived in germany. I know my idea ia not the smartest but hey we all want to experience high speed cruise. If you disagree then your lieing. Haha either way im still gonna do the run in the desert lol. I dont intend to kill anyone or myself. Speed doesnt kill, its unexperience. I know im a young gun but I know my limitations. My car is very stable at 130 and tested it but I havent cruised at that speed. If I have a feeling of unconfortableness then ill slow it down haha. Rest my case. This to all the smartasses who think there funny with there imature jokes lol.

At those speeds you wont even have time to blink, Look down once to get a drink or look to the side to see the sites, a simple mistake and its all over, a coyote, a dillo anything. Do you ever wonder how people have head on's on a free way, you would think that you can see that car coming at you from a distance and have time to correct but by the time people figure out whats going on, its too late. Obviously you are still going to do this, I say good luck to you and hope we hear back from you on the details. Myself, I ran a Lingenfelter vette one time up to 167mph (according to his speedo) and I did not like it. Sorry, but speed does kill...
