car lost voltage then died?
car lost voltage then died? car died on the way home ... i was pulling away from a light and my head lights went way dim ... checked the volt guage and it was way low
got all the way home and car died pulling into the driveway
no voltage.
hooked up the battery charger and let it sit for a while and hooked up my lap to to pull codes
codes: 47, 42, 50 and 66
47= not used
42= est grounded
50= low voltage
66= a/c pressure tranducer open/short
what do these mean?
alternator died or something else?

Probably your alternator has taken a dump and you were running on straight battery until it died. You can have the alternator tested at most any autoparts store for free.

happened to me a few months ago. first time in 7 years my car ever left me stranded. luckily it was on an undeveloped subdivision road behind a gas station so i coasted to the side of the road, locked up the car, and got a ride back to my house to pick up my mustang to go get a new alternator (and battery cause it turns out that was bad too) and then put in the new battery and drove the car to a shop a mile away on said battery and had them change the alternator. luckily the alternator had a lifetime warrenty and the battery had ~ 1/2 of a warrenty left so i got a new battery and alternator and had the alternator installed for only ~ $140
