Default Check Engine Light

Will installing a Magnaflow exhaust on my Stock 1997 Z28 Cause the check engine light to come on?

I believe you just need to disconnect the battery when you do that.

So you reset the Values for the car.

Thank goodness they aren't carbs anymore where you'd have to mess with the screws...

Nope. No need to do anything like that for installing a catback.

At least you can turn screws and change jets without editing software and a laptop. Both styles of fuel delivery present different sets of tuning challenges.

After I did an cat exhaust on my 99ss my upper o2 sensor went out, gett a dianostics get the code to orielys or autopart store, and they will be able to tell u the problem. When the o2 sensor is bad the car will run choppy and like ****.

the rear o2 sensors wont affect driveability, but it will throw a code. The front sensors will make the car run like crap though.
