So it turns out the new home for this motor may possibly be in a 1850lb tube frame 68 Camaro Dragster. It should be a fun motor to learn with.

I know, the previous guy had a mild BBC in there for about 850 HP @ 1950 without driver. His driver was barely over 100 lbs

We had an S-10 (reg cab short-box) down to 2200# for fun, it had a cammed E-FI LT1 in it and it was a blast!!! at the track we could not get traction to save our lives, butit still ran mid 11s with 2.5 60 foot times (mph was in the 110 range). We sold the S-10 without the engine and put it back in the 97 formula it came from, could barely break 13.5s.....lol

Thats because unmolested LT1 heads are **** compared to modern stuff. L92 heads, popular for LQ4 builds, flow more on the exhaust stock the a stock LT1 head flows on the intake .

A fully professionally ported, expoxied/welded maxed out LT1 head will be lucky to flow what an as cast straight from GM L92 head will flow.

I know, it makes me sick when I see the stuff that has come out in the last 10 years. If my present motor goes I am converting to a new platform.

Picked up a built 2 speed glide with a trans break and a scatter shield, I need to build some motor plates for the LT1, and find a small radiator that would work. This will be running down the track sometime this summer with my spare LT1 powering it. Eventually we are going to put a 540 BBC in it, but this is just for fun.

Access panel to the 4link

It has strange disk brakes front and back, running 16x33 out back. It has koni and strange adjustable drag shocks. It is setup for a parachute and wheelie bars, but it doesn't require either of them.

I have to pull the body to make it legal for when it gets a BBC. Going to paint the car black. I'm still undecided on the fame, maybe a deep to dark blue.
