Default no oil on 2 rockers

Just finished replacing my heads, and fired it up. Runs great, but I noticed on only 2 rockers on the drivers side little to no oil is coming through the push rods on just 2 rockers? I do have great oil pressure everything else is getting oil I'm thinking something may be wrong? Is it typical to not visually see oil on idle

FYI - Lifters are the Caddy or LS7r lifters

I would say you have different preload on those two lifters , and lifters are quite simple inside .. When people say lifters are bad when not pumping oil.. from my experiences the oil passages are clogged and just need disassembled and cleaned..

So you think its worth re-doing the preload on those 2 lifters and see if I get an oil up top? If they don't produce any oil again then they need to come out?

All lifters are of the same age. 4 years old, probably under 10k in mileage.

How long did you let it run? It can take a while for oil to get up there.

New pushrods or did you re-use them also, if so did you make sure they weren't clogged? I use a can of brake cleaner with the straw and spray thru each pushrod to make sure non are clogged.

ok I have had to run them at least that long to get oil to the top. But most of the time the lifters were new and had to pump up yet.

Run those 2 a bit looser for a few minutes to take the load off of them and they will oil, probably collapsed them to much and won't pump up with the load. Had it happen, run a bit loose then when oil starts adjust normal preload running and all good. If not the disassemble lifters as mentioned and clean.

I'll give this a try tomorrow AM. As far as I know they were fine and pumping oil before I took everything apart. (fingers crossed you are right)

Letting them soak dosn't always work though. You will get it worked out.

lossen them up and see if oil starts shooting out, then slowly start to tighten them back down, if you get no oil when you reach zero lash then i would say remove the 2 lifters take them apart and clean them. reinstall and try again. If they dont work after that then there no good. you can get 2 lifters at bumper to bumper for like 17 ea
