Default True Duel LT1

I have duel 2 1/2 inch on my hemi and love it, I do plan on motor work later on but I'm just bolt on right now... Should i go 2 1/2 inch or 3 with my duels? Anyone have problems with their duel exhaust? talked to one shop said he's had people complain about rattling? I dunno sounds like install to me, went 3 on my old ram and lost low end but I'm not too worried since I have a 6 speed. Thanks!

Plan it out. If you are going to do other things try to figure out what you want to do and then build something for it. If you plan to stay inspection legal then 2 1/2. If your going long tubes and 400+hp 3 may be worth it. Tons of different ways to do true duals. Dumps, side exit, rear exit. with cats/no cats, over or under the rear axel. I'm sure some of the guys will be posting up picks of thiers.

lol try to proof read your sentences next time. Im guessing you want true duals on your 93 trans am, since you love the ones on your truck? If so, i say go for it. There shouldnt be any rattles if the shop does theyre job right. The only problem i see, is there is very little room for a true dual setup. Some people have theirs tucked in nicely with no problems, but i think the 3" duals will hang pretty low. Especially with a lowered car.

Ya sorry lol I have long tubes and slp right now I was thinking I'm pretty sure duel 2 1/2 inch will be plenty for me, still 5 inches of pipe and with a X pipe and no cats I should have plenty of flow, help gain some top end and sound amazing I'm sure

A dual 2 1/2" has a hp rating to over 450 hp, ideal choice with the X pipe and free flow mufflers like Magnaflow.

I have Borla XR1 on my truck and they sound orgasmic, I think Borla makes a compact muffler I gotta look into it

I have true duals on my 96 T/A. I have it dumped before the axle with the exhaust exiting through two dynomax mufflers. I went with 2 1/2 inch pipes which was the right way to go. I don't really have any clearance issues with a 1.2 drop both front and back but I would if I had gone 3". If I remember ill snap some pics of it and post it tomorrow.

I have 3 inch true duals dumped with dynomax bullets. IMO it is the best sounding exhaust you can put on an LT1. You be the judge...
