Deceptively quick LT1. Looks like a good thing that tuna got sideways though, he was about to eat an LT1s lunch.

What was the mph again? Can't see in the vid too well.

Stefan's car didn't make a full pass on that run. He let up a few hundred feet before the finish. The trap was 143mph which is typically a 9.5-9.6. That car will run a 7 on a full pass no doubt. Car is drop dead gorgeous in person too.

x2 its has more than enough grunt to get it done. its just a matter of getting it dialed in on a good track.

You generally need to be in the 5.10-5.15 range to go 7.90s

i was not there to see the run and i do not know what tune up he had in it. but i will say this i have several different tune ups for different conditions. ranging from it probably wont make it past the 60ft cone to slower than a snail with a limp.

It's different for a small tire turbo car though. They make their move on the back half.

That would have been one hell of a move to put on enough speed in the back half to make that pass a 7.99999 . Like a 1700 rwhp move.

So he would need to run a 2.63 second back half to hit 7.99. Hell I ran a 3.16 sec back half. I think it is possible for him to hit the 7.99 mark if he leans on it and stays in it. Turn up the wick a little sooner also. It will be for sure a low 8 sec beast.

Supercharger won't back half as hard as a turbo car, but I think he has some 8.10s in it.

I think it can get into on a good run low 8s easy. It is crazy how we put so much work into these big v8s to run 7s and see vw beetles that run 7s; at least our cars look and sound better doing it.

The car will go 7.80s with out leaning on it. Unfortunately Im having a little issues with the valve guides. We have not made a clean pass to date. On that run in the video the car ran 8.43 at 140 or something like that. I was out of the gas at 7.1 seconds into the run because it layed over. The racepak shows a misfire at 4300rpm in low gear until i shifted at 7300 which is a very short shift. I shifted because it was not pulling. In high ger it was just lazy and slow. Like I said it layed over and I shut it off. It bent the number 5 exhaust pushrod. Last time out it bent the number 3 exhaust pushrod so something is no bueno. Besides that the car is working awesome. 1.24 60FT leaving at 3350!!! The converter is showing about 22 percent slippage which is no good either. I am still running a 3.50 gear which might be changed also but for now one thing at a time. I dont want to make predictions but Ty Tech has built a bad little LT-1 and I think it will easily run 7.80s.

Badass, didn't know it was having that many issues.

On another note, my ported 220s are pretty but I'd give my left nut for some raised runner AFR A215s...

You should bring that thing out to Atco before it closes this year. It is the best air in the country down there right now...
