Default Help with 4l60e

I just finished up a v6 to v8 swap in a 96 Camaro. All drive train parts are out of my old 94 z28 as well as harness and computer. The problem i am experiencing is when the car goes to shift into 3rd it feels as if it goes into neutral until the rpms rise a bit then it feels like it is just working very hard to slowly accelerate. if i put the car in drive or 3rd it will shift fine until 3rd gear then it will not shift at all until the car is almost completely stopped. So it wont shift back down into 2nd or 1st until the car near a stop or until i manually select either 1 or 2. The trans has maybe 5000 miles on it since the rebuild and hasn't really been abused. The only thing changed about it is a tune for shift points done by Solomon of LT1pcmtuning.com and i used Amsoil torque drive synthetic ATF. I posted this in the trans section as well. Just trying to get a speedy answer because i need my car to get back to school monday.

Maybe check your TPS voltage at part throttle. Funky TPS voltages can cause shift problems.

5 bucks says it's the tune or VSS... try to get a stock one on it... if it doesnt cure the problem it is likely an internal trans issue

Try manually shifting from 1st and move up as you drive , Tell me how it works that way. If it works good It will be the Force motor

Did it work right before the swap? Might try throwing a scanner on it that can pull trans codes. Not all scanners can do it. You might get lucky and have something show up.

If my dad drove MY car with low/no transmission fluid there's no way that'd be a 50/50 deal.

If you're going to rebuild it, up the road from you in Dayton is a guy who builds the best 4L60E's for miles around.
Mike Harris at B-Body Performance. 1FAST94 on here.
I have his 4L60E's in my car and truck and they take a beating with no issues.
