If anything is cheap insurance it is Wickeds piece. It does as mentioned and, should the plastic crack or the like, Wickeds piece will hold it securely in place with the 4 "arms" and keep it from ruining your engine.

No brainer for me. I went with the aluminum one. The stocker was torqued done properly but failed due to the hv oil pump and weight oil used. Cheap insurance for all the $$$ spent on my new engine and was a no brainer. I would rather know I protected my investment every way I possibly could have.

As a few have stated they had failures due to HV oilpumps or combining such with heavy oils. Both problems are not design faults and are more the result of grossly outdated thinking on the part of the builder.
Ellis and quik95lt1 have "nonstandard" setups not directed at them, they are using hardware with a larger purpose.
