Default In the 12s with Bolt Ons!

Well my track rental at Atco yesterday really paid off. Car went a best of 12.93 @ 106.4 on a 1.9 60ft. Not too shabby for just a few bolt ons and a 141k mile motor. The car had more in it but I wanted to drive it home, so I took it easy on the ol 10 bolt. Im sure the 141k rockers/springs are holding me back, so those will get changed soon. I didnt get a slip of the 12.93 because it was the last run and they didnt print my ticket. I do have a go pro vid of it that Im waiting for my friend to upload. I do have a 12.94 slip and a 12.98 video of a grudge race between me and an ls2 01z. Let me know what you think guys think...

good job getting into the 12s. You still got alot left in it. If the 10 bolt will hold it. Work on that 60ft

Yea the 10 bolt is definitely holding me back. Dont wanna launch it too hard. Best I did was a 1.90 dumping at 4700. I have a hypertech tune but thats pretty fake

Your lucky that 100 shot didn't blow the welds on your intake.

I hear a lot of people on here complain about the stock 10 bolt, but ive seen a lot of local guys run pretty damn quick with them..

whats the usual upgrade to a stock 10bolt?

Read this: http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...aul/index.html

I rebuilt mine when my car was cam only because the stock posi was dead and one wheel peels aren't cool. I just put in the same eaton posi as the article with 4.10s and a T/A girdle. I did not weld the axle tubes or put in aftermarket axles...didn't seem necessary. Not sure how it will hold up to my new 383 with 400+ RWHP and 6 spd I certainly won't be launching on slicks anytime soon until I have some money for a 9" in case it breaks.

I still wish I would have ran mine again before I sold it.

In summer heat and 2700DA, the car ran a 13.024@103.33 with a 1.74 60ft and that was before a few suspension parts and EWP. Would have also loved to do a nitrous run. DA corrected that would have been a 12.8@106 or so for me
