Pretty sure it's as simple as pulling the ring gear off the Tru-Trac and swapping it to the spool and go to town.

I wouldn't have a spool in a daily driver at all unless you don't mind your tires barking everytime you turn and wearing your tires out faster. I got the S-trac in my S60, we'll see how that works.

My tires dont bark really, they just go HOP HOP HOP HOP HOP, and it gives alot of resistance when backing out of a parkingspot/driveway. And in the rain, forget about taking turns safely.

Yeah that's why I opted for a posi. I might buy a spool and an extra gear set if I ever want to change. It's not to hard to swap.

My thirdgen has had a spool for 4 years, 3 of those as a daily for me. Rain, sun, snow or ice, it actually drove better on snow/ice than my lt1 with a posi did. Spools are cake to daily once you get used to it
