Default ID My Headers

Im hoping someone can figure out what headers I have based on description. I bought the car with them on, and the kid I got the car from had no idea what he was talking about. I do not have a picture right now, so maybe a description will be enough.

They are multi piece.
Driver side has 3 separate parts connected to the head. The front pipe is attached to the head on its own flange, comes out a couple inches and bends back traveling parallel with the head slightly above the middle pipes flanges then straight back towards the rear pipe which is also on its own flange, then they turn down together, the middle 2 pipes share a flange. They are either mid length or long tube, its really hard to see and I havent been able to get under the car yet.

The passenger side has the same flange configuration. single flange on front and back, middle 2 pipes on a one piece flange. on this side the front pipe travels to the back parallel with the head and passes the middle 2 pipes about 3 inches below their flange.

I know pics would help, but these dont look like your typical headers due to the flange setup. I dont recall seeing one like it before.

They sort of resemble these, but with 3 separate flanges per side. Not identicle to these but close.. I have searched all over and havent seen an the same ones i have.

Any ideas?

Possibly MAC midlength. I'm not sure but I did have a set of macs on a foxbody mustang that were 3 piece flanges.

If these headers you're asking about are1 3/4 diameter, mid length with a y-pipe then they are probably SLP headers. They're coated stainless steel and work great, Make sure you keep them as they're hard to find.

Those headers look nothing like the ones the OP posted......Almost looks like a set of pacesetters someone cut the end of the collector off of and welded a smaller diameter tube to get their exhaust to fit OVER the collector Vs. In it.

But thats just me

The ones he posted look like Pacesetters. Not sure how he could get those and the SLP mids mixed up. One of the collectors face the complete other way.

he said he didn't know if he had longtubes or not and the picture he posted was just a generic picture and not his actual headers, also doesn't have the divided flanges that he says he has. All the headers I mentioned have divided flanges and have the number 1 primary like he mentioned.

Those slp ones are similar but not the same. On the drivers side of mine on the first tube
Is a air tube on top. On the pass side 1st tube there is a diaphram shaped air inlet with about a half inch rubber hose on it, and on the back tube there is a tall metal tube that has been bent closed. The flange style is identicle to those slp mids, but both of my front tubes go back completely straight and not on a angle like the slp ones.

Finally got around to getting pics. They are mid length headers, but i cannot find any name or number on them. They might be labeled but nowhere i can get to, to see. So, do these look familiar to anyone?

curious why the flanges are painted yellow.

better pics would help still, cant tell forsure if they are mid lenght or long tube.

The only primaries i can even find that resemble the pass side are dynatechs long tubes. Most other pass side primarys look alot different.

Since they are yellow it makes me think someone did VERY good machine work and then painted them so they wouldnt rust?

I have no idea why they are yellow. I believe they are mid length headers. The car was up on a lift and i took a closer look. Both sides go about as far down as the bottom of the engine and then while still angled at about a 45* angle, they are connected to the Y pipe, then to the borla cat back. Long tubes go down and then turn on a 90* angle and run parallel to the ground before the Y pipe correct?

This is almost identical to how they look towards the bottom.

The tubes themselves are very similar to these as well, but not exactly the same.

Haven't seen those before.

Out of curiosity, what does knowing the brand matter?

https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...pe-gutted.html

Those are Arizona Speed and Marine mid's... Mine look just about identical. Have the same emission stuff on the top of the passenger side. I couldnt find a pic of the drivers side.

Dont know if i have ever heard of that brand. Anyone have feedback on them?

Brand only really matters so that I dont sound like a moron when telling someone what headers I have, and if I have any issues and need to replace something I know what im dealing with.
