I run the B&M cooler only not through the rad cooler because I swapped from M6 and don't have that option. I got the one with the fan on it but I removed the fan because it never ran. I had a gauge but took it out because the temp never got above 180 even making 3 back to back passes in summer heat.

You removed the trans guage cause the temp was always the same? I don't know man, I woulda left it. Where did you have the trans temp reading from, the trans pan? What side is a good place to put it?

Ive used tru-cool, had one on my 08 Sierra, that thing kept temps down big time. On my heavy *** truck on 22's full bolt ons on 3000 stall, it daily drove at about 155-165 @ 100 degree weather. At the track it never climbed over 180.

Ill have to look into that cooler, you mentioned. I just dont want such a snug fit.
Yes it is a snug fit on a f/body............. But it fits right in and works great

I had it in the left side rear corner of the pan. I log the pcm with the laptop at the track so I can see the temp anyways.

One word of caution on the B&M style coolers. The inlet/outlet threaded fittings that are pipe thread are aluminum. As you tighten a hose adapter pipe fitting into them, they'll expand. The wrench you have on these inlets & outlets may get stuck on it.
