You need to make sure you use enough shims no less or too many can cause issues. My buddy had issues with his on the bracket he made and had to shim it. Use a small pulley as the idler on top do not use a bigger one that you see sometimes on the AC delete pulleys which is what I originally used and then stepped down to a small pulley which made a world of difference in lining up and space under the hood. The belt you need to use is one off a Honda S2000.
Okay cool, I will make sure I make a bracket for it there. Unfortunately, all I have is my ac delete pulley, I guess ill have to hope it works, if not ill get a smaller pulley. On a good note though, the cutting starts Thursday night

Also, I mounted the shroud and welded the bung on this past weekend. I hooked it up to my battery to see how well the fan would move air. I had some paper and it stuck to the radiator with the fan going, in the middle and on the far corners, so i hope the fan will be sufficient.

For everyone who has done a vertical griffin, what did you use for cushioning the radiator? I can't find an answer to this question anywhere. Thanks

Is that going to be enough cfm for the radiator does the stock push like 9000 cfm. i have the griffin radiator 1-85222-T

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GRI-1-85222-T/

and i had two 1300 cfm on for puller wont cool down so i put two on for for pushers so 5200 cfm total and still wont cool. i stuck the stock ones on and it stays at 185 all day. i looked around and found out the stock one pulled 9000 cfm

9000? I read somewhere it is closer to 4000, but I honestly have not found a straight answer to how much they pull. I sure hope it is, if not I can always re-use my stockers, I'd just rather not. They aren't the best looking fans I have ever seen haha. I have seen some peoples set-ups running a single 16" fan with no shroud, and a turbo in the engine bay and they claim it cools. My car is NA, and will probably stay that way, other than spraying it again.

I can't believe that 2 pushers at 5200 cfm wouldn't cool it, that's moving a LOT of air.

BTW, your set-up is sick!

I had two pushers and two puller that had 5400 cfm all together. You could drop a piece of paper a foot away and get sucked to the radiator. but this is what i found

I just find it hard to believe that two 12" factory fans move that much air, whenever I didn't find a single 12" fan that moved that much air when I was searching for a fan to buy all over the net.

What are you going to do about that hose that's about 1" in diameter or so that comes out of the lower drivers side of the radiator and goes to the waterpump?

No, I'm talking about the one on the drivers side, at the bottom. It's 3/4" in diameter and goes to a 90* fitting on the waterpump. Lower left in this picture, just above the drain petcock:

You are correct about it going to the oil cooler. I capped my radiator at that nosel then pulled out the WP nozzle and plugged it with a freeze plug.

Unfortunately I did not get to do the alternator relocation. I had to replace the power steering pump and ran out of time. I think the radiator turned out nice. I drove the car an hour and a half this evening, at idle it sat at 170, while cruising with the fan off it runs about 185, according to the stock gauge. I have a 4 year old 160 t-stat in it, and a worn out electric waterpump. Sorry for the picture quality, my phone kinda sucks. And sorry about the dirty engine bay haha

All of the old parts

Before any cutting

Radiator sitting in place

Bracket and hoses

All finished up

That would be so nice to have that much room in front of the motor...you could swap an opti without jacking up the car...lol

I ended up taking the stock rubber pieces out of the old upper radiator support, cutting the 90 degree angles off of them, and rtv'ing them to the bottom of the griffin radiator. It worked quite well.

It is nice haha. There is enough room for me to sit on the core support and put both legs inside the engine bay now
