Well in my frustration of installing my somewhat poor fitting edelbrock headers, i failed to even check the alignment of the supplied header gaskets. About 1/4" of the gasket was blocking the top of the exhaust port and header tube They're a no name D-port gasket so I'll be throwing my copper gaskets back on and hopefully find some power back up top!

They're edelbrock victors... stepped primaries and 3 1/2" merge collectors

I have always found the need to trim the holes in exhaust gaskets for exact fit especially after portwork. I use a regular Dremel tool and a sanding drum and knock it out in just minutes. Any reason you can trim the supplied gaskets?

yea they were sized for a stock lt1 port i imagine, not sure why i didn't bother to check this. The copper gaskets i have are d-port and really big, they came with my old pacesetters from jegs.

New cam is in and degree'd on a 107 to start. I'll be testing different lash/preload settings and then let that tell me where the cam should be moved. I'll probably start with .01" lash on the intake and zero preload on the exhaust (cold).
