Go find yourself a set of used LQ9 coils. The ones with the heatsink on them. There the best bang for the buck.

Those are LS1/LS6 coils. That's what I've been using on my S10.

The brackets shown are custom and for prototyping only. They never went into production.

It's best to try and find the heat sink coils since your looking into getting some. But those coils do work.

they will, all the ls coils mount the same place. some sit higher than others (truck coils sit higher on the valve covers) The camaro ls1 coils sit more in the middle.

thanks rob. the efi brackets require you to disassemble the stock brackets and use the coils to mount on them. The only one's I'm aware of that could be different are the ls3 coils, i think the actual coil has a different spacing, but haven't seen one up close to confirm. I believe the ls1/ls2/truck coils are all 3 7/8" center to center. so as long as that efi bracket is that way, any of the coils should bolt right on.

The LS1/LS6 coils mount uniquely and their bracket does not interchange. EFI Connection's coil bracket will not accept these coils.

The most common LS-Series coil is GM# 1253190 and its bracket interchanges only with the LS2 MITSUBISHI coil (GM# 12611424). These coils are the only coils that will fit EFI Connection's coil bracket.

The truck coil without heat sink (GM# 12558693) have mounting holes vertically and were not designed to fit EFI Connection's coil bracket.

The truck coil with heat sink (GM# ???) have mounting holes horizontally and have a unique bracket.
