Modifying header to clear transmission brace
My jet-hot LTs have never fit like they should. The drivers side collector is way too close to the floor board. You can see where it has been hitting the floor and I had to have a crazy sharp bend in my Y pipe just in order to connect to it.

I should have sent it back and gotten a new one, since I hear most people with jet-hots don't have this issue, but that chance is long gone.
So I plan on modifying the header somehow to get the collector down where it should be. I'm thinking either cut the collector at an angle somewhere near where all the pipes enter, then cutting off the flange at another angle to put it perpendicular to the ground like it should be. It needs to be moved down around 2 inches.
The only other option I can think of is heating up the pipes with a torch (since the ceramic coating is pretty much shot down there anyway) and bending the whole thing down.
Any comments on which would be best? I imagine cutting it and angling the whole thing down is going to hurt flow significantly.
Heres a picture of the complete header for reference:

My jet hots are the same way. annoying as hell. My pipe hits the lip of the trans cross brace, Ive been wondering if a torque arm relocation mount would solve that.
What mount are you running? Maybe the mount is different anyways since your M6 and im A4, but the A4 tq arm relocation bracket looks like it would help alot of the issues.
I run the hooker y pipe as well with these headers, i cant seem to get it to ever seal. Ive tightened the bolts down crazy, and it still leaks at the collector.
could also just wrap it a few times with header wrap and let it hit lol.

I'm running the UMI tq arm mount reloc bracket.
Motor mounts are new poly mounts. I had the problem with the stock mounts and hoped changing them would fix it, but it didnt move much if any with the new mounts.
