Default Next mod?

Hey guys, i've got a 97 z28 automatic with 108k on it. The mods already done are edelbrock throttle body and headers, cold air intake, deleted cats, 3.73 gears, and tranny work (im assuming something minor like a shift kit, the guy i bought it from was selling it for his son and "transmission work" was the extent of his knowledge. I also do not know if it was tuned after these mods. Im just wondering what would be the next mod yall would have done next? Im in college and thats where most of my time and money goes so keep that in mind while you make suggestions. Thanks. -Kyle

+1 on the converter and add a set of 1.6 roller rockers with a decent set of valve springs.

That was my next question. While under my car checking stuff out i noticed the converter is pink? Now after searching 3600 stall converters, i saw a few pink ones labeled vig 3600, thoughts? Maybe i already have a stall amd didnt know it!

Defiantly do a converter and trans cooler. Used LT1 performance parts are cheap as dirt these days. If you can find a reputable seller you can save huge going that route. Another option is a company called revmax, there 9" converter is only $350 or so and is very good quality. More known brands (yank/vig) are a safe bet but they are considerably more $. Just make sure you do a cooler at the same time!

Put the car in drive and press the brake pedal and gas at the same time. If the tires don't spin until your tach indicates around 3500 rpms or so your on to your next mod, cuz a high stall converter has already found a home behind your motor. Post up some pics of the car sounds well built with gears stall and mods. Look in the oil fill on the valve cover, I'd be interested to see if it has roller rockers already.

don't buy a used converter, too many "what ifs"... circle D makes a pretty bad *** converter for about the same price as a yank or vig... although if it has one already, best to just run it for what it is. then look elsewhere to mod as 93 lt1 vette said.

I was giving thought to a suspension upgrade. Maybe lower it a little but not so much to where its kills my tires

properly lowering the vehicle should not ruin tires... and a good complete suspension depending on how you want to go about it, everything tubular with rod ends and adjustable will be a little costly but you can do it all in steps.

what exactly are you looking for when the car in general? weekend warrior, track only or street/DD

As mentioned earlier by JCSWS6 Revmax stage 3 converters go for about 350 and are pretty nice converters. We've bought 3 converters from them since about may and we've been 6.07 with a converter that we paid 600.27 for. Sorry for the revmax add...
