Default Exhaust

Well today was the day that I knew would come for a year, people have complained about my car being too noisy. So I ask the question what set-up will quite it down. I have a flowmaster cat back that I had on the car before the TD’s so that will probly be my first be move to see if that works. ORY with cutout and the flowmaster. What do you guys think.

You could try these on your duals. They probably wont be any louder than a flowmaster catback.

Actually when I had that on my '02, with headers and O/R Y pipe, it was obnoxiously loud.

I'd look at something like these magnaflows:

I have those on my hemi ram w/ duals. Its only loud when I really get on it, but pretty tame when im just crusing down the road.

Wow, I figured they would be loud but not obnoxious. I ran 1 chambers for about a year and they were obnoxious. Im hoping these two chambers will still give a nice aggresive tone but not be TOO loud. They are the only 3" thick mufflers I can find that arent bullets. I hope they arent too loud though because Im piecing together some duals with them for the car I have now.

What mufflers are you running now? Any cats? Dumper or out the back?

Ooh, sorry I thought those were the 1 chambers. I read race muffler and didnt read the rest of the description. The 40 series should be good.

I had the 1 chamber on mine and it was terrible. Even at idle it was loud. It sounded great when I had stock manifolds and cats, but with headers and O/R Y

The flowmaster 80 series muffler was much louder than the Magnaflow catback on my car now FWIW.

I also have the same set-up. Its a little loud at idle. When I get on it Ive been heard as far away as 3 miles away. Lol. The OP has a choppy cam though so that could make the car a bit louder at idle...

What he said, i had this set up when i was a bolt-on car and was not that loud @ idle and it was very loud when I got on it. But now with the new motor you can really hear the cam @idle

bolt-on

high flow cats, stock exhaust, and cut out. Ive went through at least 5 different set-ups and this is by far my favorite. Stupid quiet when i want then loud and choppy with the flip of a switch.

I went from pacesetter long tubes, ORY, SLP loudmouth....To just adding a single moroso spiral flow to the loudmouth and it made it VERY tolerable.

I would look into adding just a pair of the spiral flows. They are cheap enough, and I can vouch that they do quite a car down. I actually miss the noise they made.

Hooker Aerochamber, complete bolt-on cat back kit. One of the best and smoothing sounding exhausts you can get. Best of all there's no welding or any "fitting" to do. Buy it, bolt it on, and you're done in an afternoon.

Wouldn't putting cats back on it quiet it down a lot?

By the way, who's complaining and why the **** would you care? Lol. Is it your neighbors? Coworkers? Friends?
