If it wasn't running hot/rough, and you're not losing coolant or oil, my money is just on condensation. Not sure what its been like in Illinois but over here in Iowa it's fluctuated between -10 and 50 degrees within the last 2 weeks.

I agree.

My car as 170k and has the same white milky stuff when I take the oil fill cap off. For a while I works working .4 miles away from home. I think that drive everyday did more harm than my drive of 58 miles one way now.

It could just be condensation from the cold and short drive times.

you guys are making me feel way better about the milky stuff though cause i dont drive very far to work/school and car is stored outside. glad to hear its a common thing. i am not loosing coolant and as of sunday no oil is leaking but before i fixed the seals it was leaking oil like crazy. had to put more in at least every-other day
