So basically even if we scored the LS1 pcm and harness...we could not convert to this without buying addition 24x conversion parts from w/e website?
The LS1 does not carry it's own 24x ring that we could use?
What would be the cheapest way to do this is what im leading to. I wish it was a little cheaper a grand is pract. half way to an entire LS setup so it kinda makes me want to take a crap on keeping the vaginal crevice and surrounding environment that spawned the opti at that point...being that im stock and 100K.

If I want an ls1, ill go buy the car instead of the swap, if you want to look at it from "thats half an ls swap" well then looks at and ls1 swap as "thats 3/4 a newer ls car with modifications"
Really if an opti goes out...$400 for an opti...$200 for a gm water pump thats $600, why not throw another $400 in and get rid of it?
OP glad its running. Now get those headers fixed and get it tuned!

the ls ring is way to big. The EFI connection one is downsized for the lt1 and sbc. The swap isnt for everyone. But for someone who is well invested in a lt1 already (headers heads cams roller rockers etc...) its not practical to switch to an ls1 and buy all that stuff over again and take half what you paid for your lt1 stuff.

Yep no secret just time consuming stairing at diagrams. If you can't do the harness without a step by step then you might be better off buy the premade harness. No being a dick just telling it like it is. Just look at some diagrams before you buy anything for most of us it just kinda comes to you.

For me the new harness was a no brainier. Yes it was Alot of money... But with the harness being 18 years old and seeing its fair share of abuse. I felt it was about time to just replace it all. I managed to sell mine for $150 aswell as afew other parts from my LT1 ignition. All in all i only paid around $500 for my Brand new plug-n-play wiring harness. It was amazing knowing that it was going to work when i turned the key. I am competent at soldering and reading out wiring schematics so repinning my old harness wouldnt of been to problematic. What deterred me was the fact that it was 18 years old and some of the pigtails were messed up. I would of had $200 in the repin kit aswell as afew pigtails.. To each there own however.
All i can say is i couldnt be Happier with it! Ive been devoting the past 2 weeks to studying for this test i have this sat. Next week I will be pulling the headers and moving onwards with the project

^^^^^^^^^^ This is why I got the new harness as well the reliability of "brand new" was more appealing to me then saving a few dollars. I also got he billet TPIS timing cover (to clear my double roller timing set) and the EFI coil brackets, here are some pics of my new engine. Waiting on my trans to get finished then everything is going in the car at once.

Yep my accesory bracket setup is sold by SpeedInc and made "MyMachinehead.com" and it keeps the ac, ps and relocates the alt to the drivers side. And thanks for the complements, I'm waiting for my t56 to get rebuilt so I can install everything together.
