Question Y pipe for 1993 LT1....

hey guys anyone know where i can get a y pipe to mate up to edelbrock shortys, save me the talk about getting long tubes i know i need them haha but right now i cant afford them i just need a cheaper fix for now, mine split down the middle and i need to get a inspection sticker in a month or so, it cant be welded its totally FU*KED up ha... any help would be amazing! if not looks like i gotta find a close exhaust place!

wait will a stock y pipe work with edelbrock shortys? i just literly need a quick fix i got a bad enough driving record i cant risk more tickets haha

I believe your factory y pipe will work fine..Shorty's just replace the manifold,not the resonators and the rest of the piping below it.

The pic of the Edelbrock shorties on Hawk's site makes me think they use their own y-pipe with connections in a different location from stock

However, if a stock y-pipe will work and you cannot find one (I'll actually be removing my stock 93 y-pipe next weekend), this is probably the cheapest option

Edelbrock y is different I had them before. Just buy a flowmaster merge and get a muffler shop to build you a y-pipe. It will most likely flow better than the edelbrock one

i was actually looking at that one from jegs cause i dunno how much a shop is gonna charge me and im broke right now after re doing the whole rear end lol

Oh an Id I get one made what size should it be? Right now I get 2.5" to 3" I don't wanna go too big and lose torque 3"to 3" is probably too big I'm thinking anyways

Default Y pipe

I have elderbrock shorty headers too, the flanges are different,from stock manifold.

Elderbrock has 2 bolt flange , the factory manifold has three.
I bought a new magnaflow, y pipe and cat , to pass inspection.
I could only use the cat, y pipe wouldnt fit.
Look into a decent muffler shop, is my best advise.

Im dropping it off Friday with a custom exhaust shop gonna put a cutout on it too
