Default Water Pump Drive Shaft?

I was just wondering what my options are here. The shaft itself looks fine, with minimal war on the seal surface, but the bearing makes a bit of noise. I have the part number and found it new on GM parts direct for about 140...

Are their any other options? I don't want to go EWP at this time, I have a brand new water pump going on the motor.

Thanks in advance!

Might want to try and find a good used one on the forums. Since tons of people convert to EWPs there's plenty to go around. $140 for a gear and bearing? I'll pass...

Out of curiosity, why not go EWP?

With the complete rebuild of my 383, and all the other misc little crap the car needs, Its just not in the budget right now. I had a line on a Mezerie EWP for 120 bucks, brand new in the box, but the guy never called me back. I just said screw it at this point and will use the brand new mechanical pump I have

I'll be taking mine out of the block soon because I'm converting to an EWP for my build.. I can take it out today if you want it.. Worked perfect, no noise.. Pictures if you want 'em... PM me if your interested.. I can let it go for pretty cheap..
