ignition control module question
Service engine light was on when I bought the car, yet ran fine. ICM had been replaced recently. I later found out from the previous owner the replacement ICM was from a '93 car. So, everything ran fine, but the diagnostics weren't happy. My thought...don't use an OBD1 part on an OBD2 car, or vice versa, unless at the very least you want to stare at an SES light. That being said, I am keeping the '93 ICM in the car for an emergency roadside spare.
