I was thinking on going with the ls1 conversion but this is a extra car and I really did not want to spend that much. Which aftermarket opti can I buy that will not give me problems. I am hearing these horror stories that I can only put in a GM. If that is the only option please let me know. Also what has to be done to put a vented one in.

Save your money, just get an AC delco.

Sticking with the GM opti is definitely your best option. Shop around on eBay or buy one from Summit Racing.

Delco opti with MSD cap/rotor to make it vented is probably the best bet for a 93.

This is what I plan to do. So do your research as well on this. First I will purchase a delphi non vented opti from eBay for 325 shipped. The seller is from Atlanta with great reviews . Then I will make my vented by doing this ....
