LT1 Main Stud Girdle Questions Hey,
What is the difference between an SBC main stud girdle, and its very expensive cousin the LT1 specific stud girdle sold from jegs? Are there any pan clearance issues, I was under the impression that the bottom end was almost identical to a late model sbc.

girdle just had my 2 bolt lt1 splayed to a 4bolt and asked my engine builder abt girdleing a lt1 and he says 2 do it properly bcuz of the different heights on the bolt surface its cheaper to splay and the splaying is stronger then the girdle.
