Need help ASAP with 93 formula U just bought a 93 automatic formula that has some issues starting and stalling. Sometimes she'll fire right up but still not run the best. and after about 10 minutes start revving up and down on its own and then stall. other times it wont start at all and while being turned over it will hit lit a high compression spot where it wants to fire but then backfire through the intake. And other times it will fire up on the dead spot if i let off the ignition at the right time. everytime it does start its running rich and has a hesitation off idle. Anyone know what could be doing this?
Ignition and possibly timing related is my guess. First you should make sure all plug wires are in their correct locations, examine plug wires and plugs and if all checks out, go for the opti. Quite possible the rotor screws on the opti rotor are coming loose.
