I've had great experiences with him as well. He's tuned my car from stock to now and I've had no problems. Always quick and responds to all of my emails. I actually need to have him retune it for the heads I just finished up.

Ion can fix that. Along with correcting tire size.

he either changed, or maybe he is going off state law where you are?

I have no cats, EGR, AIR, or rear 02's and I have no SES light on. Car runs perfect.

Couldnt have been happier with his tune.

When mine gets a bumpy stick, he will be doing the tune hopefully.

seriously? thats gonna cost him allot of business.. I need an update, I guess I'll have to talk to him to see if he'l do that while keeping the rear o2's, EGR and AIR deleted like my current tune from him.. if he can't do that hes gonna loose allot of his long time customers as well.

It may be for legal purpose. He may not be able to tell u he can lol. If he is having to report the income he makes from the tunes then he would be in violation of federal emissions laws for tampering with federally mandated equipment. There may be a form that you have to fill out stating the car is not a street driven car and is only intended for track use. I have a feeling we will be seeing more of this. It seems like a perfectly retarded and useless way to spend money to curb global warming so that means our government is defiantly going to pursue it.

I am curious about the emissions thing too, because I have a pcm sitting in my car, tuned by MadZ, waiting for me to hurry up and finish the exhaust on my car. On my order sheet I asked that he tune out the rear O2s...curious now if it's done. It's not mentioned on the sheet that was returned to me w/ the PCM describing what all was done. I never even considered he wouldn't do it since it's not mentioned on the website, but I'm sure there are legal issues that complicate things.

I'll try to update everyone when I fire the car. I sure hope mine are tuned out.

IIRC when i got my tune there's a additional notes section, which I asked to get rid of all the emission crap. Maybe he can't advertise it or say it. While typing this i went back to his website and order sheet looks to me nothings changed. Just state it there guys. I never recall him advertising it but just going off what other members on here said/recommended. I'd still recommend him.

That's exactly what I did...hope to know in a couple days whether it was actually done.

Is your car a 93? If so, you will need to chip it to correct the speedo.

I just got my car running on a MAdZ28 tune. My tune was done a month ago. I'm 50/50 on his tune.
I have deleted my emissions and have no SES light, sO i know he can do that.

My car bucks and surges below 3000, but over that runs pretty hard. Its a good size cam, but not huge. .591/.574 w/ 1.6 rockers, 224/230 @ .050, 112LSA. I'm also open header so i've just driven it around my neighborhood. I'm going to put my new 02's in, and make sure I havent fouled a plug before I determine if its a tune issue. If it is, its getting a local dyno tune once the tuner gets his LT1 software.

I went from 3.23 to 3.73 and gained .3 tenths and 2 miles an hour. I have a 93 and want to go to a dyno in my town 125 for 3 pulls, so do i do that and get the print out or put the run file on a flash thingy and send it in with the prom? Would that be an advantage or would he even be able to look at it?

Ion did an obd II to obd I conversion and tune when I was just running bolt ons. He pretty much nailed the tune and the car ran great.

As an update to those who may have been curious...I have logged about 150 miles on my car with no rear O2s...no codes thrown.
