Transmission problems ..

I own a 94 LT1 firebird, i recently had the transmission rebuilt. The guy took a LS1 tranny and put my rebuild kit and shift kit in it (TCI). Also put a 7500 rpm shaft. Now at 55 mph im at 3000 rpm. Is that normal? running stock stall. any help would be great, thanks!

Confused...an LS1 4L60E won't work with an LT1. Maybe I'm missing something here...

its just the outer shell, all the internals are outta the rebuild kit, but my car came with a 4L60E tranny anyways

Sounds like its not going into 4th. if everything from your year was put in the case, it should be the exact same. my z28 is about 1500 at that speed.

EDIT: if you have gears in the rear it could be why its so high.
