[QUOTE=MasterTomos;16137488]^many people don't understand that boost=restriction. They always figure less boost will yield less hp. QUOTE]

you know how many times on the forums ive tried to explain that and people just either ignore it or blow right by it? lol..........i just gave up on it lol

Boost is not simply a measure of restrictions. **** I get tired of hearing people say that.

Boost = restriction divided by exhaust flow times compression to the square root of forced air intake Pie r squared..There...

there is a dude making 750 to the wheels on a built shortblock and stock heads/intake/tb and a built valve train...

im not shooting that high but i want at least 600 and im gonna be using unported heads(built valvetrain), ported intake (because i have one in my attic) and a 58mm tb

hope this is helpful

Easy way to add more boost, weld the intake valves shut, you will make a ton of boost

what???? 750 at the wheels with stock heads??? you must mean stock(ers) that have been ported and polished....

cause no way 190cc heads are gonna support that much power no matter what the boost level.... those ports are so ******* tiny you're lucky to get to 500rwhp..

LT4's were supposedly 195cc so that's why i though LT1's were 190cc for some reason...

I think LT1s were even smaller than 180.
Far as what a port will support seems to me someone made just over 1000rwhp with 200cc ported stockers and an 88mm turbo. The same heads have made 500rwhp NA on a handful of cars.

well there ain't no way you're making 750 to the wheels with STOCK heads. like from the factory untouched.... i don't care how many blowers or turbo's you have...

the head itself is untouched... the spring/retainer/valves/rockers/pushrods are all aftermarket

and he is claiming that he's making 750RWHP thru a stock unmolested unported head???? with stock valves size i'm assuming??? cause you'd have to touch the head to run a bigger valve.....

I call bullshit..... that's close to 3 times what the stock engine was making. cam and valvetrain wouldn't matter. those heads stop flowing at like .500 lift. maybe less.... so he could run the best valvetrain money could buy and rev it to the ****** moon but it wouldn't do ****..... I know what it takes to make 750 RWHP. I've made over 950 at the wheels with a TH400 no less which is like a 20% parasitic loss. But there is no way i'll believe that untouched LT1 castings from the factory can support 750RWHP. regardless of what trinkets you attach to them. LUNGS are LUNGS. And if you can't breathe and get 750RWHP worth of air in you aint' making that kinda power...
